I got similar responses from watching Transformers: "This is just to sell toys." Yes, it sells toys, but the storytelling and themes are such, that one could enjoy the show without giving in to the urge to buy the action figures.
The great bard already knew this, when he wrote:
"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
Which simply means that things get labeled all the time, seemingly limiting or changing their purpose, but imaginative people don't let this stop them to find the true purpose of a good, and enjoy it, despite what others say.

its funny and silly and epic and amazing and wow ...........O.o i had dreams of this show last night when i went to sleep lol xD can't even stop thinking of this movie XD
I think one shouldn't have to defend one's personal preferences about what you watch (or consume). Alas, this is not the world we live in, yet. Prejudice, be stamped out, forever!
Overall, it's witty and charming.
